Previously is an app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices that takes a web page you are reading on your desktop web browser and easily pushing it to your iOS device with one click, wirelessly and from anywhere with an internet connection.
How does it work? Simply install the Safari extension (Chrome and Firefox support coming soon), set your email address in the preferences, and click the new Previously toolbar button. Previously saves your current page's web address (and your spot on the page!) and downloads and displays it when you open the app on your iOS device.
The free version allows you to read your page in the app. If you purchase the Previously upgrade for $1.99, you can open the site in the Safari app and continue your browsing from there. You will also get access to future planned paid features automatically, such as multiple pages and sharing capabilities.
Previously is a free download on the App Store, and the upgrade is available for $1.99 through in-app purchase. It is a "Universal" app, meaning you buy it once and it will work on all your iOS devices, including the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices. The Previously Safari extension is free to download and is available here. Chrome and Firefox extensions are coming soon!
Support Note: If you are having trouble, please make sure that the email address you enter into the Safari extension preferences is the same one you used when you first launched the app on your iOS device. If you aren't sure which email address you signed up with, please send me an email at support@pocketsevens.net with some possibilities and I can help you find it. I am working on a release that will let you know if the app can't locate your email address for some reason.
Special note for Windows users: Previously does work with Safari for Windows. Please make sure you have the latest version of Safari 5. If you do not see the toolbar item, click on the Sprocket menu and select Customize Toolbar... Then you can drag the Previously toolbar button (which may be listed as Push to Mobile) to your toolbar. Please make sure that your email address has been entered into the extension preferences (sprocket menu > Preferences, or press Ctrl-,) and in the app on your iOS device.
