Connections in Conspire
Conspire has two modes, host and client. The mode is chosen automatically, based on what you as the user are doing. If you are having others connect to you, then your copy of Conspire will be acting as host. If you connect to someone else, then you will be acting as client.
If you want to connect to another computer running Conspire, just click the Connect button
. The person you want to connect to will provide you with an address to connect to, probably an IP address. Type that into the Connect dialog box and click Join.
If you want to act as host and have others connect to you, Conspire is set up to accept connections by default. Your IP address is listed in the bottom right corner of the app. Just give that address to anyone you want to connect to you.
About the Status Lights
In the bottom right corner of the app, next to the IP address, there is a small status light. This light will be green, yellow or red. A green light
means that your copy of Conspire is available for connections over the internet, as well as on your local network. A yellow light
means that Conspire is attempting to allow you to accept internet connections, and a red status light
means you can only accept connections via your local network. Your IP address will reflect this status as well.
